towards a hundred subscribers to perth
A living document to track my thoughts and progress on my journey to a hundred subscribers to perth
As of today, I have five subscribers to my blog perth. I have used as a public diary of sorts but have not advertised it any meaningful way. I am inspired by people such as Craig Mod and Henrik Larsson who have written prolifically online and have created a community that understand and supports their writing.
I have a good foundation in having a site that is easy to navigate and read but it could also be improved by adding photos and perhaps cross posting to substack. Some channels I could think about pushing my content to:
- Personal:
- my own instagram account
- posting fragments of my essays onto twitter
- Public:
- subreddits of the topics that may be relevant e.g. KL or Singapore if I write about those places
Previously, I was afraid of pushing to public channels because the writing was quite intimate and perhaps not that understandable. I relished the privacy but in writing with an audience in mind it may elevate the quality and legibility. We’ll see.
